
DIALOGUE AGAINST THE FIST, UNDERSTANDING INSTEAD OF FEAR
Training Course
Bakuriani (Georgia), 11 - 17 December 2009
This Training Course (TC) was dedicated to conflict prevention and promotion of peace, which brought together young leaders from the Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russian Federation in order to engage them into debate about recent conflicts and cold relationship in the countries and how to find best way to keep constructive way to address them through cooperation within the youth field.
This training dealt with several types of conflict such as: intrapersonal and interpersonal conflict, group conflict, intercultural conflict, organisational conflict, community conflict, intra-state and international conflict.
The training was also an opportunity for youth workers to learn more about conflicts during implementation of the projects, and a chance to discuss real examples of conflicts which happened during different types of projects within the YiA program and learn in order to learn how to address them.
In the course (through plenary sessions, discussions, workshops, creativity sessions, intercultural & interactive exercises and was used other non-formal education methods) young leaders discussed about the significant role of youth participation in different peace building activities and explored their own roles related to these processes.
The training course took place in Bakuriani, Georgia and lasted for 6 days.
